Dangerous Goods Awareness Training Course

The DGSA Ltd certificated basic course will provide delegates with the mandatory training required and a depth of awareness recommended and legally required for those involved with the shipment of Dangerous Goods by all National and International modes of transport.

These training courses are offered in person at your premises, or virtually.

The Morning Session will include:

General awareness. e.g. an understanding of the dangerous goods classes, packaging, labeling, marking, placarding, compatibility, segregation requirements, transport and emergency response documents.

The session will concentrate on the requirements of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods that precede the specific modal requirements of IMDG & IATA in UK, together with practical examples of Placards/Labels and packages.

The Afternoon Session will comprise:

Workshop. This will cover the documentation required by the principal transport modes starting with U.K. CDG (Carriage of Dangerous Goods) Transport Documentation and Instructions in Writing.

The session will then consider these domestic regulations in conjunction with the documentary requirements of ADR, IMDG & IATA, and specifically examples of how to use the regulations to verify the documents required by ADR and IMDG.

Bespoke courses for your Company and specific products can be devised for you, if you are a contracted client. Our assistance is given with delivery and certification by you as the Shipper/Consignor, and monitored by us (ADR 1.8.3). This complies with CAP 486 of the Air Navigation Orders 2002 et. seq.

IATA or CAA licenced training still require you to have the General Awareness Training which we provide.
